Well, frankly no. We get tired of brands looking to social media strategies as a means of merely modernising their marketing without the genuine desire for open feedback from their customers.

That said, social marketing has become the de-facto replacement for the e-mail marketing strategies of old in an era when even your granny knows that there is commercial value, and thus a desire to avoid sharing her email address with a business. 

How does digital Aim approach social media marketing?

We believe that brands should never present themselves in the social sphere without clearly communicating what they offer and expect back from their presence. We must remember that social networks are built for colleagues and friends to communicate freely and share media (music, photos, and videos). Social media has the appeal of being free from the commercial ad breaks associated with traditional broadcast media, therefore brands should treat people as individuals first and as consumers second once permission is granted within this environment.
